15 ZORA A 4 58.0 Brett Crawford Brandon Morgenrood

COLD AS ICE made a sparkling debut last time. The one to beat. Raced handy and finished well. READY TO ROCK disappointed last time after a good debut. Las run was in March. MATARI makes her debut. Daughter of SILVANO. ALEXIS, daughter of DYNASTY, also makes her debut. The betting on her and other first timers will be crucial. JAZZ CLUB is another first timer worth considering.

1st – COLD AS ICE (46/100 F) (5); 2nd – READY TO ROCK (14); 3rd – MATARI (12); 4th - ALEXIS (3); 5th – JAZZ CLUB (9)

Race 2 - 14.10 - 1400m

9 MOONLIGHT RUNNER A 8 57.0 Paul Reeves Xavier Carstens
10 SEIZE THE THRONE A 5 57.0 Justin Snaith Karl Neisius

CANADIAN HOUSE ran on when making good improvement in his second start last time. REBEL DOLLAR  can go close on latest two efforts. Weakens though. MOONLIGHT RUNNER improved by twenty six lengths in his second start last time. One to respect. CASTLE has steady form and did run on last time. GRAPE VINE has more to find but is part of the country's champion trainer's yard!

1st – CANADIAN HOUSE (31/20 F) (8); 2nd – REBEL DOLLAR (1); 3rd – MOONLIGHT RUNNER (9); 4th - CASTLE (5); 5th – GRAPE VINE (7)

8 NO WHITE FLAG A 4 56.5 Carl J Burger Morne Winnaar
9 LOVE TO TANGO A 8 56.5 Carl J Burger Brandon Morgenrood
10 MY WORLD A 7 55.0 Stan Elley Aldo Domeyer

SHAKARA has shown excellent improvement in her last three starts. A big factor. DANCING JUDY could have something of a chance on a vastly improved latest effort. CREO'S PRIDE has been threatening for a while now. Has been close in recent races. MY WORLD found a strong finish in her latest start. That was only her third run. More to come perhaps. CAPTAIN ROMANOV will be finishing well.

1st – SHAKARA (9/2) (6); 2nd – DANCING JUDY (7); 3rd – CREO'S PRIDE (2); 4th - MY WORLD (286/100 F) (10); 5th – CAPTAIN ROMANOV (1)

8 RATATOUILLE A 2 57.0 Mike Bass Karl Neisius
9 HOPE DOWNS A 4 57.0 Adam Marcus Aldo Domeyer

EXOTIC JET was suspended last time for a nosebleed. Had decent form before the suspension. RATATOUILLE has been improving with each run since making her debut three runs back. HOPE DOWNS found herself in a winning position last time but weakened at the crucial stage. PHILOSOPHY improved by almost twenty lengths in her second start last time. Respect. ROYAL FOUNDATION has consistent form but occasionally has problems. Could surprise.

1st – EXOTIC JET (62/10) (1); 2nd – RATATOUILLE (8); 3rd – HOPE DOWNS (2/1 F) (9); 4th - PHILOSOPHY (6); 5th – ROYAL FOUNDATION (2)

7 TIBET A 1 52.5 Bill Prestage Xavier Carstens
8 TRAPPED IN ICE A 6 52.0 Justin Snaith Karis Teetan

A competitive race. GREYS INN CONTROL is never far back and finished well last time. GOLDEN DANE hasn't won in a long time and also takes on a bit stronger. FRIENDLY TIBBS faced stronger last time but needs a better finish. MATADOR IN RED is better than latest run. TRAPPED IN ICE takes on much stronger. Did not show at Durbanville last time. Watch for improvement.

1st – GREYS INN CONTROL (5/1) (2); 2nd – GOLDEN DANE (5); 3rd – FRIENDLY TIBBS (3/1 F) (3); 4th - MATADOR IN RED (4); 5th – TRAPPED IN ICE (8)

11 SIDECAR A 7 52.0 Glen Puller Grant Van Niekerk
12 BELCOURT CASTLE A B 2 52.0 Piet Steyn Girish Goomany

BLACK BELUGA will be running on. In good form. LANE FROST has fair form. Lost ground at the start last time. Draw a line though that run. SOCIETY ROCK needed a strong finish to get up to win last time against similar field. SIDECAR has more to find but could improve with Grant Van Niekerk in the saddle. O'CHEE PAN was moderate in his post maiden last time. More to do this afternoon.

1st – BLACK BELUGA (5/1) (1); 2nd –  LANE FROST (33/10 JF) (5); 3rd – SOCIETY ROCK (33/10 F) (7); 4th - SIDECAR (11); 5th – O'CHEE PAN (2)

12 RUSH FOR ROSES A B 12 52.5 R G Sheehan Karis Teetan

SMILING MISTRESS did show some improvement over the shortest trip last time at Durbanville. Chance if handling the extra. DELTA DANCER has had problems in running. Good chance if getting an uninterrupted run. LOBOLA is never far back but was weakening late in her last two. DISNEY QUEEN weakens but is never too far away. KIND LADY weakens but still has a chance in this field.

1st – SMILING MISTRESS (11/1) (4); 2nd – DELTA DANCER (8); 3rd – LOBOLA (286/100 F) (3); 4th - DISNEY QUEEN (1); 5th – KIND LADY (5)
