8 NATIONAL KING A 1 57.0 Frank Robinson Ian Sturgeon

NATIONAL KING was slow away last time but finished well. CAPEL TOP has disappointed in his post maiden efforts. Returns from a four month  break. One to watch if not needing the run. KINGS APPROVAL has run admirably in his two post maiden runs. Should be a factor. JAY'S MAN could be back in form. THE BIG LEAGUE ran on nicely last time when making his track debut.

1st – NATIONAL KING (357/100) (8); 2nd – CAPEL TOP (2/1 F) (4); 3rd – KINGS APPROVAL (3); 4th - JAY'S MAN (1); 5th – THE BIG LEAGUE (2)

11 LONDON OLYMPICS A B 11 52.0 James Goodman Keagan De Melo
12 MAMZELLE A 7 52.0 Ivan Moore Shadlee Fortune

ETHYLENE won on debut eight runs back but then failed to show much. Last two runs have been vastly improved. Ran on well last time. Good chance. TOO MUCH FUN has improved in her last two.  ROYAL TREE raced wide at this track last time. Chance on penultimate start. ROYAL NISHA hasn't run since April. Owner has been in the winner's box very often in recent weeks. GUEST EL GRANDE can place at best.

1st – ETHYLENE (17/10 F) (3); 2nd – TOO MUCH FUN (7); 3rd – ROYAL TREE (4); 4th - ROYAL NISHA (2); 5th – GUEST EL GRANDE (1)

8 ISLAND FIESTA A B 5 55.0 Wendy Whitehead M J Odendaal
9 ALDRIC A B 1 53.0 James Goodman Muzi Yeni

RIO CARNIVAL takes a huge drop in class. Has faced far stronger. Finished six lengths behind KING OF PAIN last time. COFFEE SHEIK also drops in class but has been hanging in his last two starts. CAPTAIN ON THE RUN has a claim on his latest effort when finding a good finish. ADMIRAL'S EYE has faced some stronger fields but enjoyed the drop in class in his last two. Won well last time. TIPO TINTO has weakened in his last three starts. Capable on his day but slightly off his best.

1st – RIO CARNIVAL (33/10) (1); 2nd – COFFEE SHEIK (2); 3rd – CAPTAIN ON THE RUN (3/1 F) (4); 4th - ADMIRAL'S EYE (6); 5th – TIPO TINTO (3)

12 CAPE VESTA A B 9 52.0 Pat Lunn Doctor Sifiso Lembethe
13 STAR EMPRESS A B 7 52.0 Kumaran Naidoo Reserve 1

The nine year old, KINGS GOLD, cannot be faulted on recent form. Was an unlucky loser last time. Can make amends. HERE WE ARE has been close up in her last three starts when largely unfancied. Owner Roy Moodley will be hoping for another winner. Has been one of the most frequent winners of the new season to date. FLYING LOOT won her maiden in fine style last time despite hanging in the latter stages. May need to confirm her maiden win. A three year old taking on older horses with a few wins under their belts. FAT CHANCE drops in class. Weakens.

1st – KINGS GOLD (9/2) (7); 2nd – HERE WE ARE (11); 3rd – ROYALSECURITYPOWER (8); 4th - FLYING LOOT (286/100 F) (6); 5th – FAT CHANCE (1)

12 QUINTELLA A B 12 52.0 Pat Lunn Muzi Yeni
13 BEZ VALLEY A B 6 52.0 Chris Erasmus Reserve 1

We have to wait until the last race to find what could be the best bet on the card. OSTERIA won on debut last time when starting as odds on. Looks to be a promising sort. Ran well that day at this track. TRIX OF THE TRADE has been weakening but drops in class. TRIPLE O SEVEN was rewarded with her maiden win last time in her third career start. Should stake a claim. TULLYNALLY showed some improvement last time to suggest that she could earn once again. QUINTELLA was forced to ease last time. Appears to have far more to do this afternoon.

1st – OSTERIA (13/10 F) (5); 2nd – TRIX OF THE TRADE (1); 3rd – TRIPLE O SEVEN (6); 4th - TULLYNALLY (9); 5th – QUINTELLA (12)
