PREVIEW: TURFFONTEIN (INNER) - 20 SEPTEMBER 2014

RACE 1

DEPUTY JUD, son of JUDPOT, makes his debut. Could be worth following. UNPARALLELED has run well in his four races to date. Should go close. PAY AS YOU GO weakens but has a shout if staying on. AMERICAN MAGIC makes his debut. HONG KONG TIGER was green on debut. Watch for improvement.

RACE 2

TRIP TO RIO made an excellent debut when finishing really strongly last time. Looks to be the one to beat. INTANDOKAZI has finished second in six of her nine starts. Has had some poor luck in running. Do not ignore. ROVING JET has improved in his three starts. Chance. BAKSTEEN makes his Gauteng debut for Mike Bass. Poor Durban form. ELUSIVE FLYER will improve on a fair debut last time.

RACE 3

ARABIAN BAY may be better over slightly shorter but I like the way in which he has come on in his last two starts. CONFABULATE showed excellent improvement last time when running on strongly. MASTERLY disappointed in his second start last time when well fancied. MOTOMAN has his problems and is battling to improve.

RACE 4

DIVA DANNY makes her debut. Could be anything. One to watch and consider. MISS RAMBO flew late last time despite having suffered a saddle slip. Vastly improved run and could win this. WILL I DO ran her best race in four last time. Also has a winning chance in this field. ROYAL QUEST gets into a winning position and then weakens. FENWICK ISLAND ran on from a way back last time.

RACE 5

DREAMUPONADREAM weakens ever so slightly late. Looks to have the measure of this field, that is if not weakening late. SILVER SCOOTER has good post maiden form. Was bumped late which could have cost him the race. MORPHEUS  has changed stables and makes his Gauteng debut. Last run in KZN was poor when refusing to run. BLACK PEGASUS has lost form completely. Needs to find best form. DYNAMIC STAR is inconsistent but can place.

RACE 6

COMMODORE AL is holding form well and does step up slightly in class. Finishes well. WORLD DOMINATION ran on strongly to win his maiden at the second attempt last time when totally unfancied. Chance again. May need to confirm though. KLONDIKE RIVER has been looking for his second win but is never far back. Ignore the latest run of MYWAYORTHEHIWAY. Is way better than that. Respect on earlier form. OKLAHOMA TRIPPI has more to find. Place chance at best.

RACE 7

NORGAY takes a sharp drop in class. Has the form to win. Current form is very strong and is the one to beat. THE BARBADIAN could cause an upset although there is nothing to suggest, on current form, that he could win this. EMPEROR AUGUSTUS is never far back but needs a stronger finish. SHIMMERING GEM could be finding form again. JET AVENGER has had his problems but won a good race last time. Could repeat.

RACE 8

ERIN drops in class but has been proving to be stubborn at the start. Must be respected if well. SEMRA showed courage when winning last time. Will be in the shake up. AMBER ORCHID is holding form well and should not be left out of anything. BARRACK BABE showed improvement last time when running on. LADY MUFFET won well against weaker last time. May improve to win at this level.

RACE 9

MAIN SUNDAY drops in class. Was not disgraced when running on for third behind SEMRA last time. Huge chance this field. ORLANDO MAGIC could be ready for improvement again. SAIL ON weakened late last time after having found herself in a winning position. CONNE MARA BLACK hasn't won in ages. Would be a shock winner but don't rule out a placing in this field. INDIGO PIXIE showed marginal improvement last time. More still to find.

RACE 10

DANCING CLUB won his maiden in fine style against stronger last time. Should win again if repeating final effort. Hat trick chance. GANESH is never far back and will be running on. WELLS-CARGO got going too late last time. Chance if repeating that run and may need confirmation. LIONS EMBLEM won well last time against similar opposition. Chance again. VENTURE battling to win again. Place chance at best.
