PREVIEW: VAAL (SAND) - 30 JULY 2015

RACE 1:
CAPTAIN DISKO has been improving and could go close. BLUE BLAZER ran his best race in three last time. ELUSIVE SEVEN is improving slowly. JAHUNDA needs a stronger finish but can place. CAMPS DRIFT will need to find his earlier form to feature.
1st - CAPTAIN DISKO (5); 2nd - BLUE BLAZER (2); 3rd - ELUSIVE SEVEN (6); 4th - JAHUNDA (8); 5th - CAMPS DRIFT (3)
RACE 2:
BOULOGNE ran on well last time. Is still a two year old and can go close. MAGIC is a vastly improved two year old. Will be running on. VICTOR'S FOLLY has been improving his effort. SUPANOVA has had two good runs thus far. MENDOZA'S MELODY made some improvement in his second start last time.
1st - BOULOGNE (14); 2nd - MAGIC (15); 3rd - VICTOR'S FOLLY (3); 4th - SUPANOVA (11); 5th - MENDOZA'S MELODY (16)
RACE 3:
SEEKING SEATTLE is improving well and her last two starts have been very good. SHE'S A FLIRT is in very good form and will be running on at the end. ARRIVE AT FIVE runs better at Turffontein. CATWALK TEASE has improved but still needs a better finish. A LOVE SUPREME may improve on some very moderate form.
1st - SEEKING SEATTLE (5); 2nd - SHE'S A FLIRT (4); 3rd - ARRIVE AT FIVE (1); 4th - CATWALK TEASE (9); 5th - A LOVE SUPREME (7)
RACE 4:
WELLESLEY won well against weaker last time. He won going away by ten lengths. Can repeat. MASTER 'N COMMANDER has the best form of the horses carded to race. Don't be surprise were he to finish first. TORA TORA won well last time against weaker. Could go close. ISOSHA has had his excuses in his last two. Capable at best. TABREEK is never too far back and can earn something.
1st - WELLESLEY (5); 2nd - MASTER 'N COMMANDER (4); 3rd - TORA TORA (10); 4th - ISOSHA (7); 5th - TABREEK (9)
RACE 5:
WALKING ON AIR has excellent form against similar and looks the one to beat. TO YOU is always right there and should be fighting it out late on. ESCUDO always has a chance, especially on earliest form. MYSTIC TIGRESS is in good form but may battle at the weights. JOYFUL SPIRIT is never too far away.
1st - WALKING ON AIR (2); 2nd - TO YOU (6); 3rd - ESCUDO (4); 4th - MYSTIC TIGRESS (1); 5th - JOYFUL SPIRIT (7)
RACE 6:
VIKING CASTLE was bumped at the start last time but still managed a good finish. SUPER CLUB is never far back but appears to have respiratory problems. KING AND EMPIRE did not show over further last time. Good chance back overt today's distance. FOREST VIEW weakened latter stages last time. PROUD AS PUNCH is capable but needs to find more late on.
1st - VIKING CASTLE (9); 2nd - SUPER CLUB (6); 3rd - KING AND EMPIRE (2); 4th - FOREST VIEW (4); 5th - PROUD AS PUNCH (5)
RACE 7:
TIGER HOTSPUR ran a very good race last time but was just pipped on the line. FRANCOIS P has been improving last two and has been running on. ANTONIUS CHARM will also be doing his best work late. HANG FIRE could be ready to improve again. EUROZONE was bumped at the start last two. Is better than that form.
1st - TIGER HOTSPUR (9); 2nd - FRANCOIS P (10); 3rd - ANTONIUS CHARM (6); 4th - HANG FIRE (2); 5th - EUROZONE (3)
RACE 8:
SLICK DEPUTY has fair form and did get going late last time. ICE GODDESS has the form to challenge. Has won this C & D. PAREE has lost the art of finishing well. Never too far back. MADAM ALEXIX won her maiden impressively at the fourth attempt last time. Can follow up. BREATHLESS has been losing ground at the start.
