PREVIEW: VAAL (SAND - 8 OCTOBER 2015
RACE 1:
MATRON PRILLI makes her debut. Keep an eye on all first timers. PENDULUM OF LIFE also makes her debut. ANGIE THE REBEL has weakened in both starts to date. May improve. THE BERRY LADY has claims on best form to date. WINDINMYHAIR will need to repeat penultimate start.
1st - MATRON PRILLI (8); 2nd - PENDULUM OF LIFE (9); 3rd - ANGIE THE REBEL (6); 4th - THE BERRY LADY (1); 5th - WINDINMYHAIR (2)
RACE 2:
MIGHTY MANZI finished strongly to win this C & D last time. Can repeat. BATTLE IN SEATTLE didn't show last time but won two previous to that run. VULCAN looks to be improving. Can score if finishing better. ROCK ME VAR was bumped in a good finish last time. OLYMPIC OWEN has a place chance at best.
1st - MIGHTY MANZI (7); 2nd - BATTLE IN SEATTLE (6); 3rd - VULCAN (5); 4th - ROCK ME VAR (2); 5th - OLYMPIC OWEN (4)
RACE 3:
BLUEMOONRUSH ran her best race in three by quite a long way last time when racing at this track for the first time. GINGER SIOUX did show something positive late last time. LINDEMAN LUSTRE was pipped last last time in an improved run. EASTSIDE needs to find more late. Chance though. QUEEN OF ARTS could be ready to improve.
1st - BLUEMOONRUSH (10); 2nd - GINGER SIOUX (2); 3rd - LINDEMAN LUSTRE (7); 4th - EASTSIDE (3); 5th - QUEEN OF ARTS (8)
RACE 4:
LE CLOS has had three decent runs. Should win his maiden soon. DON CHRISTO has had two good runs but on turf. RONIN WARRIOR got it all wrong on debut last time. Can only improve. SEVEN CHEERS weakened badly this C & D last time. Penultimate run was way better, also this C & D. HEY JUDE has more to find on current form.
1st - LE CLOS (7); 2nd - DON CHRISTO (5); 3rd - RONIN WARRIOR (9); 4th - SEVEN CHEERS (1); 5th - HEY DUDE (3)
RACE 5:
A P'S LILY won well at this track last week over shorter. Chance if seeing out the extra. FASHION SECRET won her maiden at the second attempt last time over this C & D last time. She won that day by a "country mile" and should warrant every amount of respect. ESCUDO never showed against stronger over further last time. Looks to have a good chance this class and C & D. IMPERIAL EXPRESS has a chance on penultimate. LADY OF KILDARE is off form against stronger. Respect if repeating previous form. Two from three this C & D.
1st - A P'S LILY (6); 2nd - FASHION SECRET (5); 3rd - ESCUDO (1); 4th - IMPERIAL EMPRESS (4); 5th - LADY OF KILDARE (2)
RACE 6:
CHIEF SIOUX got going late this C & D last time but had too much to do late on. Is 1 kg better off than LA TASCA for that less than a length beating. can overturn the result. LA TASCA won this C & D last time when staying on. Has now won twice this C & D and could be the likely winner again. DRAVIDIAN will feature if producing a strong finish again. DREAM LEADER is never far back and two of his four wins have been over this C & D. BENBOW loves the track but may have to find more for the win.

RACE 7:
KNOCK KNOCK ran his best race in a while over further at this track. Has placed over this C & D. Can go close on improved latest effort. MISS LECTURE can challenge if repeating latest improved run. TONY THE REBEL may be improving. ICE GODDESS did not show over further last time. Chance back over this journey. CORAL KEY won over the distance at Flamingo Park last time. Could have more to find but respect.

RACE 8:
SUB SHAAWES showed a return to form last time when winning this C & D. Held on well. Was unfancied that day. SON OF APPROVAL showed very good improvement over shorter. May be ready to win again. CUMBERLAND has won over the distance before. Is coming back to better form. PAY AS YOU GO consider on form of yard. COOL KID needs a stronger finish but is never too far back and can be considered this line up.
