Green Street Form Continues Into 2016

Green Street Bloodstock closed off the year with some pretty outstanding stats for their first full year of operation and the syndication and bloodstock company have continued the results into the new year. The team has been represented by a total of 29 runners now, 4 of them made the winners enclosure, while 21 of the them finished in the first four places, that’s a top notch record of 72% of their runners earning stakes for their owners! This is quite a set of results for any racing operation, let alone a start up from humble beginnings. We recently saw them step out their first two-year old for the season in the form of Neil Bruss trained Beaute Noire, she managed to finish third on debut before finishing second to the highly talented Cloth Of Cloud, at her second attempt.

We caught up with GSB director Justin Vermaak, who had this to say on the growth of the company:

“It’s been a rollercoaster ride, the first full year of operation, our first runner was at the end of February last year when Miss Nightingale won her debut, so we are almost there. In all honesty I am pleasantly surprised with our record of runners in the first four, I think that takes some doing. That is in the past now and we need to improve on our figures from last year, I think we definitely will. We started last year with the four two-year olds, this year we put seventeen into stable yards around SA, we definitely improved on the stock we bought so hopefully among that lot there will be one or two feature race horses which can take us to the next level and generate new support from our existing owners and hopefully attracting new ones, we have been lucky to already have reinvestment from our first group of owners which helped us grow further, I think the video and image updates they get in the members area of the website on each of their horses really helps, the tipping section included for when they feel like playing on a race or two, all these things add up in a good customer experience and I’m happy to say we have a happy bunch of clients, I can’t wait to see how happy they are if we crack the next Illuminator!”
