There could be little to choose between NEW DEAL and ELUSIVE ELEGANCE. Both ran on well in their fourth races last time. The former did show the most improvement though. The balance may need to find more for the win.

RACE 3:

This looks to be a very open race with many of the runners having good chances. GAUTENG has been expensive to follow. This will be her twenty fourth attempt at winning the maiden. RED VELVET LOUNGE has been improving and could be worth considering with the blinkers today. RUBY DUCHESS has run well in her last three starts. Has a shout in a competitive field. SHADES OF JADE has improved in her last two. Cannot be ignored. JENADOR'S WORLD may improve to earn.

RACE 4:

Watch for the improvement that may be shown by a number of runners. LEGO HOUSE showed vast improvement in PE last time. May just improve more to win this afternoon. NABUCCO has been steadier for longer and could be the obvious favourite for this race. LESSFLASHMORECASH has been showing consistency and is not out of it this race. TIGER TIM is never that far back and is worth a shout. WARM PEG needs a better finish but can earn.

RACE 5:

DRILL SARGEANT looks hard to beat on form and at the weights. There are no certainties in racing, but he certainly looks difficult to beat. Stable companion, BOLT OF LIGHT, could cause an upset. He does not have the best of form, but can improve. OH O MODUS did not show at Grade 1 level last time on J & B Met Day. Considering the strength of the field he faced and what he faces today, this is no comparison. PUTNEY FLYER is never far back but needs a better finish. EMBLEM OF HONOUR has improved in his last three. Can earn.

RACE 6:

AREZZO brings good Cape Town form to PE. He did win the Settlers Trophy at Durbanville in September and has faced some decent fields since. Will be doing his best work late. Looks hard to beat. SEATTLE SWING has some decent form. Watch with the blinkers today. WELL INFORMED is the biggest improver in this race. Respect. IMPERIAL VELVET will need a better finish today but can place. SILVER IMAGE is not consistent but respect yard.

FLIGHTOFTHEFALCON ran on late last time in an improved run. KALAHARI QUEEN has been improving. Should be in the firing line. QUEEN OF ROCK has improved in her last two. Should give a good account of herself. NIGHT DANCER made a great effort last time. Took off late. STONE TOWN won two from her last three, the first of which was this C & D.

RACE 8:

FIRTH OF CLYDE ran on well last time. Is in good form and is a C & D winner. NOTTING HILL takes a drop in class and should make a fist of it. ARMORIAL can improve on fair post maiden form. Not out of it. BRAVE VISION is consistent and must be respected. AROUND NOT ACROSS has been in better form.
