RACE 3:

GOLDEN FORT has been improving, albeit it slowly. JUST POSITIVE finished well after a slow beginning last time. STOKVEL has done enough in his three starts to suggest he could win his maiden pretty soon. ROY'S SAILOR had excuses last time. Can make amends. REBEL CIRCUS is slow but finishes better than he starts.

RACE 4:

5-1-8-7-6

LA GITANO has been consistent. Top young apprentice aboard. CAT'S WHISKERS has been racing well in Gauteng. Big chance. JUST RAP may be good enough to earn a cheque. AZNERAK may battle from the draw but could surprise. ZAIDA is never far back but over-races.

RACE 5:

2-4-3-11-7

DE SOL A SOL can improve with a three point drop in the merit ratings. QUINTELLA is slow at the start but has a very good late burst. MODERNISTA has looked promising in the maiden ranks. Won her maiden at the sixth attempt last time. FOR SHOW ME ANGEL has improved in KZN. May still have more to find. BEING JULIA won her maiden at the thirteenth time of asking last time. May repeat but will have to confirm.

RACE 6:

3-2-5-11-8

FIREWOOD has good form and should be finding extra late. SURREY drops in class. Top trainer and jockey. Loves this track. Should go close. HO’OPONOPONO has been a consistent performer and currently has been in good form. DRACO will benefit from the drop in mass and has been dropping down the merit ratings. ROY’S STRIKE FORCE could be improving.

RACE 7:

6-7-3-2-10

TRIPANDIE won his last three races, one of which was this C & D. Top yard and jockey. Takes on stronger. TUSCAN drops in class. Won well last time despite moving off a straight course last time. PSYCHO SYD did not show when making his KZN debut at Scottsville last time. Comes to KZN with good Cape Town form. Yard and jockey in excellent form. CUTTING EDGE has been racing against stronger. Will need to repeat penultimate run. KISS ME HARDY may place if running on.

RACE 8:

7-1-4-2-8

GIRL ON THE RUN made a decent KZN debut last time. Watch for further improvement. ALL MINE has had two good post maiden runs in KZN. One to keep an eye on. NINA KATRINA showed very good improvement last time. Top jockey engaged. LEMON TEA has not finished well in her last three runs. Capable at best. TOTEM BEAT won her maiden at the fifth attempt last time. May need to confirm.

RACE 9:

1-3-2-6-4

ROY'S MONKEY has the form to win this afternoon. Had an excuse last time. STREETS OF GOLD almost hung on last time when adopting a change of tactics. L'ATTITUDE usually stays on. Should earn something. BROAD OUTLINE could improve in KZN. Three moderate runs on the Highveld. AVAST will have more to find.
