PREVIEW: SCOTTSVILLE - 23 JULY 2016
RACE 1:
GREGORIAN CHANT (11) has the form to win. GEST (10) is a QUERARI first timer. CAPTAIN AT SEA (5) may improve with the blinkers. ECCELLERATE (7) is a MIESQUE'S APPROVAL first timer. BUSCOT PARK (4) is a SPECTRUM first timer.
RACE 2:
DUSK BEAUTY (2) will improve on a fair debut and over further. ROYAL AGREE (12) raced green on debut last time. Can improve. NIGHT AT THE PROMS (9) has had three decent runs. MOSTARDA (8) weakened latter stages on debut last time. FASTNET JET (3) is making slow improvement. Blinkers on!
RACE 3:
SABER'S BEADS (1) hs been inconsistent but looks to be ready now. SHOOT THE BULL (2) has been a close second in his last two. ROY'S ARK (5) showed very good improvement in his second start last time. Watch! AT VARIANCE (6) has been consistent since showing improvement. NDIZAKAHLE (7) has no form but jockey in terrific form.
RACE 4:
ELECTRO DIVA (2) has been consistent but needs a greater finish. QUEENS DIAMOND (1) finished well in an improved run last time. WARM NIGHT ALICE (16) ran on late when making her debut last time. Should be short priced favourite. SEE THE SEA (14) is VISIONAIRE first timer. MADAME EXCESS (12) is a COUNT DU BOIS first timer.
RACE 5:
MELLA MARIA (7) has had her chances. Can go close in a difficult race. ELUSIVENCHANTMENT (6) is holding form very well. All three wins this C & D from six starts this C & D. Good chance this field. LITTLEBLACKNUMBER (5) is another C & D suited runner. Decent form. OUR DESTINY (3) has found her feet now in KZN. WELL IN FLIGHT (9) is beginning to find best form.
RACE 6:
WINTER PRINCE (8) tries further. Has good form. Can go close. Not a confident selection. SILVER SPRING (3) has lost form. Any repeat of best form could see the seven year old challenge. DOUBLE CLUTCH (6) may improve back with his previous trainer. SYLVESTER THE CAT (1) can score with the drop in class. ARCTICA (5) has won his last two. Obvious claims.
RACE 7:
The two patrick Lunn runners could fight this one out and either of them would make the exotics pay. BIG BIRD (11) will be finishuing well and has "hot" apprentice aboard. HENCHMAN (7) was slow last time but finished well. PIROGUE (4) will be running on. PYRENEES IN SPAIN (5) was unlucky last time. Never far back. IN TRIBUTE (1) is never far back while WHITLEY WILLOWS (2) could be well supported in the betting.
RACE 8:
NINA KATRINA (4) has finished second in her last three starts. Can score in this field. MODERNISTA (9) has decent form. Stayed on last time. SEA FAN (12) showed some life last time. VOGUE IDEA (2) has good form and will be running on. TENDER TRIP (3) may improve with the blinkers. Add RUBY GEM (7) for the scratched horse.
