PREVIEW: TURFFONTEIN (INNER) - 24 JULY 2016
RACE 1:
BLAZING WINTER (3) has finished second in his last two. BAY STYLE (2) improved in his second and third runs. SABRE DANCE (10) has a shout on both runs. KARIOKE KELLY (8) did gt going late on debut last time. Watch for improvement. BRAVE NATION (4) weakened on debut last time. May not be suited to the extra.
RACE 2:
This race looks to be a shoot out between SAO PAULO (1) and TRIP QUEENS (12). TENDERWOOD (5) was bumped at the start last time. One to consider. NEXT WORLD (7) has quite a bit to find for the win while PEARL VALLEY (4) may be improving again.
RACE 3:
ELEVENSES (2) has shown marked improvement in his last four runs. PAYNE'S GREY (3) ran his best race by a long way in five last time. HYPOTHERMIC (1) has done everything in five races but win. Four seconds and a fourth. UPOSEUPAY (4) is better than his latest start. Can earn. BUBBLY REPLY (5) may improve with an apprentice claim of 4 kg.
RACE 4:
KING OF THRONES (2) has a good chance if repeating run three runs back. ISLAND BLISS (10) is comfortable over this distance. FORT ROSS (5) is improving with every run. WALL OF ICE (4) will have a shout if running on. SERGEANT PEPPER (6) showed unexpected improvement last time.
RACE 5:
A P EMBLEM (1) runs well over distance. Third run after a rest. Should be cherry ripe. TAEGAN'S JET (5) is never far back over this distance. SUNGLASSES (8) had excuses last time. Can get closer. ASZKABAN (3) will need to repeat penultimate start when flying late. UMTHETHO (7) won his maiden this C & D three runs back. Can earn.
RACE 6:
RAIN SHADOW (4) could cause the upset. Is never too far back. WILD HORIZON (2) won his latest full of running last time. In good form. AMERICAN TIGER (5) finished strongly for second last time. Also in good form. ODD ROB (1) is holding form well. Do not leave out. Drops in class. TRIP TO TROY (9) needs a better finish.
RACE 7:
DUKE NUKEM (1) drops in class but returns making respiratory noises. Must have a chance. NATION BUILDER (4) won a good race over the distance at the Vaal last time. HILILYHILILYHILO (5) won his last two. Shows plenty of heart. MACHISMO (2) was finishing well last time. Is improving. TOKYO DRIFT (9) is never far back. Holding form against weaker.
RACE 8:
BANKING APRIL (5) finishes well but will need to break on terms. RIVER RUN (6) got up in her final strides to win last time. Runs well this C & D. LADY TOREA (12) ran an improved run last time. Could be running on. CHALCEDONY (10) ran an improved run last time. Money chance at best. NAVETTE (3) won her maiden at the sixth attempt last time. That was over the same distance.

BEST VALUE: RACE 4 NUMBER 12 KING OF THRONES
BEST OUTSIDER: RACE 8 NUMBER 5 BANKING APRIL
