PREVIEW: DURBANVILLE - 26 JULY 2016
|
RACE 1:
Pay attention to the betting of all the first timers in this race. Of those that have run, HARAKIRI (4) could be the best. ANNELINE (1) makes her debut. MISS MALBEC (7) has run third in both starts. MOULINA (9) has had five decent runs. Could earn again. WHISPERING LIGHT (12) has something to find on disappointing second start last time.
RACE 2:
KENNY TRIX (6) looks the most likely to win on form. BLACK PARROT (2) improved by almost ten lengths in his second start last time. SILVER RIDGE (12) is a SILVANO first timer. AVIEMORE (1) may improve. IMPIMPI (5) is a PATHFORK first timer.
RACE 3:
MISS HYDE (6) ran on when making her debut last time. Should be the one to beat. SANDY BAY (8) is overdue a win. All five runs have been good. YOURMYWORLD (11) made excellent improvement in her best from three last time. BESHAYIR GIRL (2) has more to find on debut last time. AMAZINGLY (1) has nothing more than moderate form. Top jockey aboard though.
RACE 4:
EMERALD GAL (1) made an encouraging comeback last time. TURNPIKE (10) did show some improvement in her last two. FIGURE OF GREY (6) stayed on well in her last two when not beaten too far. ARCTIC GREEN (5) needs a better finish. FLAIR FACTOR (3) can place, only at best.
RACE 5:
A moderate field. GIMME GREEN (7) could be the one to beat. Does have much to do. HEELAGAINSTTHEHEAD (3) can do something if repeating penultimate start. SUMMER SKY (11) has had fair runs. Can place again. IMPERIAL DANCER(1) can earn if not weakening latter stages. RAHEEB (10) is a BOLD SILVANO first timer.
RACE 6:
KIRUMBO (1) could fight this out with OVAR (2) who won over this distance last time. Both have won at this track before. The three two year olds could be worth following. ARGO SOLO (7) won by over two lengths on debut last time. Impressive win. BLAZING REBEL (8) won on debut last time. That run was this C & D. One to watch! OCEANS TRIP (9) won his maiden at the fourth attempt last time.
RACE 7:
Another proverbial minefield and Geiger instruments could be the best way to overcome the land mines! VIKING VOYAGE (8) is not a confident selection. He won his maiden in PE last time and even though that was a good win, the quality of field he beat there may have been suspect. The blinkers go on. BANDEROS (1) has the form to win. Has had two seconds form two starts at this track. CARDINAL CALL (3) has finished well in his last two. Could trouble the judges. SHISHANGENI (6) needs a more sustained finish to win. LARIMAR (7) showed substantial improvement last time.
RACE 8:
PIXELATE (1) found a good finish last time to win a narrow decision. Can repeat. PERSIAN SILK (5) was heavily backed to win her maiden last time. May need to confirm. DAZZLING DANCER (7) can place at beat. FAIR MAKER (4) has very good form at this track. Ignore the latest run of SPEEDBALL (3).
BEST BET: RACE 4 NUMBER 1 EMERALD GAL
BEST VALUE: RACE 8 NUMBER 1 PIXELATE
BEST OUTSIDER: RACE 6 NUMBER 1 KIRUMBO
