Grade 3 Politician Stakes winner Horizon will make his way to Durban for their feature season with the Daily News in mind.
His trainer Candice Bass - Robinson is still optimistic about his ability to perform at Grade 1 level despite his poor showing in the Investec Cape Derby on Sun Met day. Horizon may have had excuses on that ocassion, there was no pace at all and they turned it on in the stretch, Bass stated the following about the race "they went to slowly for him". The regally bred colt could have better luck in running when he competes in Natal for the simple fact that the straights are short, thus increasing the likelihood of a fast run contest.
Provided he travels well and stays sound during his work programme Horizon would have a good chance of regaining his form, one thing is for certain though, he is definitely not short of ability and cannot be underestimated by means.
