 Race 1

10 – 9 – 2 – 1
Maiden Plate - 1000m
The Greeff trainee, Pepper Oak (Sail From Seattle) would have come on a ton from her debut and should go close to winning. The Spies stable send out, Miss Aphrodite (Lecture) she is consistent and could give them some  cheek. Bella Isle (Sail From Seattle) rounded off quartets when last seen, a place isn’t out of the question for the Bremner inmate. Ring O Var (Var) hails from the Mckenzie yard, she is a long time maiden and could be in the mix on her best form.
 Race 2
3 – 2 – 1 – 5
Maiden Plate - 1300m
Allan Greeff appears to have the upper hand in this contest, he steps out Mambo Tango (Mambo In Seattle) who has earned in all seven starts too date. Larnie (Mambo In Seattle) is trained by Grant Paddock and is a solid eachway bet in this event. Gavin Smith steps out, Dancing Ruga who had definite excuses last time out, when being eased at a crucial stage of the race. Western Officer (Western Winter) from the Dorrie Sham stable has a shout if reproducing his last run here, he must be included in the top 4.
Race 3
2 – 1 – 3 – 8
Maiden Plate - 1900m
Tara Laing conditions, Fort Ross (Fort Wood) who may have found 2200m to far last time out, the drop back to 1900m should suit him down to the ground. Nordic Leader (Brave Tin Soldier) is proving to be consistent and is a major player, the Smith trainee must be respected. The latter’s stable mate is, Zettabyte (Jay Peg) he has every chance if making the nessecary improvement. Dorrie Sham steps out, Clever Move (High Chaparral) who makes her local debut in this contest, she may do better in a weak centre like Port Elizabeth.
Race 4
6 – 1 – 4 – 7
MR 62 Handicap - 1900m
Gavin Smith trains, Morethanthat (More Than Ready) she has a lot in her favour, she is bang in form and has a good draw to boot. Elusive Rose is a lively contender in this contest, her polytrack debut was a winning one. A horse who caught the eye last time out was, Disrupt (Lateral) she is a big threat on her encouraging local introduction. Aspen Fire (Go Deputy) was not striding out when last seen in action and is capable of placing on her penultimate effort.
Race 5
 7 – 8 – 1 – 2
Novice Plate - 1600m
The Bremner yard have a genuine lurker in, Zaida (Windrush) she should be good value at around 7/1 and can do the business over a trip she does enjoy. Another female entrant with claims is, Bank The Bill (Bankable) it is encouraging that she earned on local debut and should only improve in time. Heir To Riches (Miesque’s Approval) finally broke his maiden at the 27th attempt last time out, all that racing experience might see him run a place here. Allan Greeff conditions, Buck Eye (Ideal World) may be at his best on the grass, but he cannot be left out of any quartet structures, he is a place play for sure.
Race 6
4 – 2 – 6 – 7
MR 66 Handicap - 1600m
The flying Spies stable sends out, Lotus Elan (Black Minnaloushe) he bids for a hatrick of wins and should go close to getting the job done. A horse with big claims is, Track King (Var) from the Snaith yard, he has been the runner up on consecutive occasions and rates a major threat. The Sham establishment has two nice sorts, Man From Japan (Right Approach) and Trotska (Kahal) one is a proven handicapper and the other shed his tag 2 months ago.
Race 7
MR 80 Handicap - 1000m
7 – 4 – 6 – 1
The Spies yard has another charger who seeks three wins in a row, the game, Zip Line (Rebel King) he has a favourable draw and should be in a good position turning for home. Varsity Cup (Var) made his local debut a winning one and he could give them plenty of cheek. The Bremner horse, Sweetchild O Mine (Greys Inn) takes on the boys, but should be in with a shout on her last start, which saw her win and that would have lifted her confidence. Kingoftheworld (Var) is a stable mate to the top selection, he definitely found 1200m to far last time out and will surely do better back over 5 furlongs.
Race 8
3 – 14 – 6 – 1
MR 63 Handicap - 1000m
Allan Greeff steps out, Zanzibar Beat (Argonaut) the filly appears to be a very competitive sort and can score back to back victories. A horse with a huge chance is the Spies runner, Rippit Whippet (Jay Peg) who ran 2nd in her last start and should be there abouts. Yevette Bremner trains the filly Silva Key (Bold Silvano) she was a runner up when last seen in action and can threaten here. Party Tibbs (Casey Tibbs) may need 1200m to be at a winning stance, but she could earn a cheque for her connection, include.
