Race 1 Maiden fillies 3yo 1200m

In a race filled with first timers, Via Sacra is short in the betting at 12/10. Drier trains the daughter of Pathfork. Just One More had excellent form and should be the best of the raced runners. Meet The Logans improved in her latest and will do well to fill the movie placings as long as their are no other lurkers in the unraced ranks. Fashion Trend is next best of the raced runners.

Race 2 MR 80 2400m

Calabash and Captain At Sea are close in the betting and on form. They should fight out the finish of this race. Silent Obsession broke his maiden recently and could be in the money. He is well weighted and could take advantage of that.

Race 3 Maiden 1200m 3 yo

Draugluin was green in his first start and still managed and excellent service on debut. He will take a power of beating. Ku Du Tu was also creditable on debut and looks to follow that up with another solid performance. There are many unraced runners, the most fancied of which is First Warrior from the Michael Roberts yard.

Race 4 Qualified Maiden 1200m

River Garden is another who is short in betting and has great form to boot. He is the one to beat. Marcus up. Severino was disappointing last time out and is a place chance here. Good form prior. Luckdragon is best of the rest.

Race 5 Restricted race non black type 1400m

Port Elizabeth raider Kimberly Star recently won the juvenile feature at Fairview and looks to be the horse to beat. Marcus takes the mount from a top yard. Silva's Bullet looks a nice type but is largely unknown after his first start win. Broadway Trip is another unbeaten runner from his initial outing and will also be in the shake up.

Race 6 Non Black Type 1400m restricted

Spring Breeze should be all the rage after dropping in class to take on this lot. Cloud Atlas is raiding from PE and should be in the money. De Kock sends out the placed Make Me Happy and she could be anything. One to watch for the minor money.

Race 7  Qualified Maiden 1600m

Prince Ponti looks the right one with a top jock on board. Good recent form and seems to be improving all the time. Should be your first selection. Sherman found the last effort a step to far literally and backs down to a more suitable distance. Place. Charlotte's Prince looks to be improving and should continue that trend.

Race 8 Qualified Maiden 1600m

Pomona has been knocking on the door and been disappointing for her followers. She should redeem herself here. Arctic Swift hasn't been far off except for one disappointing effort. Another place chance. Fonteyn has the same issue with one bad effort in her latest when dislodging her jock. Ignore that. Place again.

Bet Opinion, looks to be a decent card with numerous bankers. Have a small accumulator on Via Sacra, Prince Ponti, Spring Breeze and River Garden. Add Draugluin for the riskier play.
