Droplets

The first foals by international Group 1 winner, Soft Falling have hit the ground, and they are nothing short of impressive.

The first of his female progeny to arrive is a charismatic chestnut filly, out of the three time winning Western Winter (USA) mare, Rockaberry Lane, who is a full sister to Grade 1 winner Solo Traveller, and Grade 2 placed Strawberry Ice, who is the dam of Grade 2 Gold Bracelet victress, Flying Ice by Go Deputy (USA). She is an attractive well made horse, and even at this early stage of her life, it is not hard to see that she is all quality, and she certainly has the pedigree to back up her good looks. The first of his male progeny to be born is a bold bay colt out of the two time winning Jet Master (SAF) mare, E - Ticket, who is out of the stakes winning mare Escoleta Fitz (ARG) by Fitzcarraldo (ARG) .

He is a nice looking individual with plenty of depth, and he has a good set of legs on him to boot. Just like the filly, he comes from a strong family, which gives him every chance of making it as a racehorse.

One of the most exciting breeding's Soft Falling Rain did in his first season at stud, was when he covered champion racemare Alboran Sea (AUS), who is a multiple Grade 1 winning daughter of Rock Of Gibraltar (IRE). This foal should be one of the most highly anticipated of the entire breeding season.

Soft Falling Rain was very well supported by breeders countrywide in his first season at stud, and they came back for more this season, fully booking him once again, and who can blame them, judging by his first foals, this former champion racehorse looks to a have a bright future ahead of him as a stallion. He stands for R40 000 at Wilgerbosdrift.
