History In Hong Kong as Slack becomes Owner

Mary Slack and Zhang Yuesheng to own in Hong Kong

South African racing breeder and owner, Mary Slack is one of the first two persons to be allowed to own horses in Hong Kong as non-residents.

This development came after the HKJC authorized the ownership and racing of two thoroughbreds under the names of Chinese Billionaire and Yulong Supremo, Zhang Yuesheng as well as Mary Slack.

Tony Millard will train Slack's UK import Wings of War and the famous Yulong colours will be on the stable of Douglas Whyte, meaning a dual South African connection for both horses and a Hong Kong break from tradition.
