Having placed in the Queen Mary Stakes at Royal Ascot followed by an agonizing nose defeat in the Group 2 Duchess Of Cambridge Stakes at the Newmarket July meeting, BESHARAH (IRE) earned due reward as she brushed aside her five rivals for an impressive three lengths victory in the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes at Ascot. The daughter of Tally-Ho Stud's Kodiac - once again a dominant force as a sire of juveniles - she brought his number of individual Group winners to five. Bred by Gerard Kerin, she is the first foal out of the unraced Dixieland Kiss who is a half-sister to American Listed winner Kiss Mine and multiple Group 3 placed Kiss Moon. BESHARAH (IRE) is entered for the Group 2 Lowther Stakes at York next month and the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes in September.

Just over half an hour earlier on the same King George undercard, SIXTH SENSE (IRE), third in the Chesham Stakes at Royal Ascot, opened his black-type account in the Listed Winkfield Stakes over 7f. Entered in a number of stronger juvenile races later in the season, Darley-bred SIXTH SENSE (IRE) is a son of Kildangan Stud's Shamardal and is a half-brother to eight other winners, including fellow Listed scorer Lake Toya. They are out of a full-sister to Champion Three-Year-Old Filly Imagine (IRE), the dam of Horatio Nelson (IRE), Viscount Nelson and Red Rock Canyon (IRE).

Meanwhile at York, TULLIUS (IRE) led near the line to land a gripping renewal of the York Stakes over 10f to take the second Group 2 race of his fine career. A career haul of over £430,000 - 10 wins from 29 starts - makes the seven-year-old gelding trained by Andrew Balding the second highest earning son to date by the deceased Rathbarry stallion Le Vie Dei Colori after the Hong Kong-based sprinter-miler Gold-Fun. He is out of a dual winning half-sister to Group 3 winner Pie In Your Eye and Listed winner and Group 1-placed Monsagem.
