Raymond Danielson has moved swiftly to dismiss speculation surrounding his future in Mauritius, confirming he remains fully committed to the Gujadhur stable despite recent rumours suggesting he was preparing to leave the island.
Speaking to SAHorseracing.COM, Danielson made it clear there is no substance to the claims. He described the speculation as nothing more than public attention-seeking following what he acknowledged was a disappointing day on the track.
"That is just rumours from the public that are looking for attention! All good this side. It was just a tough day in the office for me but still a good day for the stable," Danielson said.
The jockey pointed to his current strike rate as evidence that one meeting should not define his season. That statistic is particularly significant given the context in which the rumours emerged.
"I have a 46% win rate at the moment and sure people can know that just one bad meeting will not be the end of my job," he said.
Danielson also stressed that his focus remains firmly on the months ahead, underlining his commitment to the stable as the Mauritian season continues.
"We have lots of hard work and a long season ahead which I'm hoping to finish off in great style."
For Danielson, the message is straightforward. He remains settled in Mauritius, committed to one of the island's most successful stables, and focused on maintaining the form that has produced an outstanding strike rate this season.
