GRAHAM BECK TO STAND TOP STALLION

Graham Beck is to stand another top stallion at his Highands farm stud in Robertson, near Cape Town.

Blandford Bloodstock have negotiated the private sale of Spectrum with Coolmore. He is a winner of the Irish 2000 Guineas and Champion Stakes in his 3yo year.

Spectrum has previously shuttled between Ireland (Coolmore) and Australia (Yarraman Park Stud).

Spectrum is a prolific sire of winners, and high-class winners at that, none more so than Golan whose victories in both the 2000 Guineas and �King George` are proof that Spectrum can sire horses even more talented than himself.

At 2 years

1st graduation race, 8f., Newbury by 10 lengths from La Contessa and Axeman.

At 3 years

1st Champion Stakes - Gr.1, 10f., Newmarket by 2 lengths from Riyadian and Montjoy.

1st Irish 2,000 Guineas - Gr.1, 8f., Curragh by 1 length from Adjarelli, Bahri and Burden of Proof.

1st graduation race, 8f., Sandown by 1 1/2 lengths from Sanoosea and Stiletto Blade.

2nd Prix du Prince d`Orange - Gr.3, 10f., Longchamp beaten a neck by Tamure.
