Pocket Power (pictured) was not accepted to run in the Drill Hall Stakes, Grade 2 at Greyville on 8th May 2009 - a race he used last year on his journey to Vodacom July glory.
Trainer Mike Bass had reservations about the horses fitness level since his return to training and probrably decided to give the champion a few more weeks to reach an acceptable level of fitness. The "Horse of the Year" is due to target the Vodacom July as his main race of the season with the Gold Challenge as part of his preparation into the big race.
