Mauritius owner/Trainer Paul Foo-Kune has made a major statement ahead of the new season, securing 11 horses to strengthen his stable, with Selukwe standing out as the headline acquisition.
Selukwe arrives with strong South African form on his résumé. The gelding captured the World Sports Betting 1900 (G3) before finishing a gallant third in the 2025 Hollywoodbets Durban July, only 2.65 lengths adrift of Eight On Eighteen and The Real Prince. Widely regarded as one of the best buys of recent years for Foo-Kune, Selukwe is expected to spearhead the team’s challenge when he debuts in island colors.
The other new arrivals are: Tamarisk Tree, Sylvan Warrior, Vikings Revenge, Rich Folks Hoax, Happy Days, Iko Iko, War Hawk, Kaleesh Cyborg, My Archangel, and Palermo.
Stable representatives confirmed that Foo-Kune remains active in the market, suggesting that more names could still be added to the roster.
With Selukwe bringing Group-level credentials and a promising supporting cast behind him, Foo-Kune’s camp looks set for an exciting campaign in Mauritius.
