South African jockey Keagan Latham enjoyed a strong day at Newcastle, riding a treble on the seven-race card and sharing the honours with Aaron Bullock after a competitive battle between the pair.
Latham’s winners came aboard Easiest Choice, Embrace The Wind and Jagerbomb, while the final race saw the two riders go head-to-head in a fitting finish to the program. Bullock got that one.
The treble continues a solid run of form for Latham, who has now ridden five winners from his last 11 rides. He has 886 career wins at a long-term strike rate of 11%, underlining his consistency in Australian racing.
