South African jockey Kaidan Brewer is set to make his mark in Malaysia this weekend, after receiving the call-up to ride at the Selangor Gold Cup meeting on Sunday, September 14. His participation highlights the Selangor Turf Club’s push to grow international ties while adding global flavor to one of its most celebrated fixtures.
Brewer has built a strong reputation at home for his sharp race sense and fearless approach in the saddle. His booking adds extra intrigue to this year’s Gold Cup, where he will team up with Buffalo Stable’s Valois, prepared by trainer Simon Dunderdale.
The 25-year-old rider won’t be short of work either, with seven mounts across the card, ensuring fans get a full view of his skills on Malaysian soil.
