The enhanced prize not only celebrates the sport and South Africa’s rich cultural heritage but also emphasizes Betway’s role in driving the growth of horse racing.

With the stakes now at R6 million, up from R5 million in 2023, we’re making history and heightening the excitement for everyone involved. Additionally, the grooms who care for the horses participating in the Betway Summer Cup will be recognized with a special R20,000 prize. “Grooms are the backbone of the sport, and their unwavering dedication to and love for the horses deserve acknowledgment.
